After trying out both Lufthansa Senator Lounge and Maple Leaf Lounge in Frankfurt during my last 2 visits, I have decided to try out the Senator Lounge again.
Until recently, transit in Frankfurt requires security check – which has since been dispensed with, though you still get an escort from the door to the lounge. Instead of weaving through the airport, one disembark straight to the waiting gate and straight to the lounge. In the past, you will come to the Maple Leaf Lounge first but with this new arrangement you reach the Senator Lounge first.
Senator Lounge is used as the First Class Lounge for Star Alliance First Class and Star Alliance Gold passengers. Unfortunately, there is no admission to the Lufthansa First Class Lounge or First Class Terminal (for those departing from Frankfurt).

After 2 flights on SQ 26, finally I get to try SQ 25. In the past, it was easier to redeem the Suites on SQ 26 but it seems to be the opposite now. Despite 2 devaluation, Suites on SQ 25 and SQ 26 remains elusive (except for Advantage tickets)!
The flight was previously operated using the All-Business class upper deck cabin but since June 1, it has been changed to the older A380 (with upper deck rear-economy section). Although this reduces the number of Business Class seats on this flight, the overall number of Business Class seats into and out of New York has increased with the reintroduction of SQ21/22 in October 2018.

I was quite lucky to be able to score another pair of Suites on SQ26 (which I guess could be the last as well). Suites / First class to North America is getting harder to come by (despite the recent devaluation). Instead of doing another post on SQ26 / Singapore Airlines Suites, I will focus on the difference from my previous flight. Paid about $900 for both tickets (compared to almost $1200 back in 2015).

SQ 26 (the journey continues…) – for Part 1(A) click here
We were met at door 1L by a ground staff who escorted us through the security checkpoint and transit area. The walk to the transit area is a little far (about 5 minutes) and we spent another 5 minutes going through a tight security check (similar to that done by TSA agents in USA). Out of the 12 pax, 3 of us continued on to JFK.

Date : 9 November 2015
Flight : SQ26
Plane : A380-800 (9V-SKQ)
Photo taken : iPhone 6+
Seats : 3C/3D
Duration : 13 hours 25 minutes
This is my 3rd experience in SQ Suites but my first long haul in premium class. Before i start, my apologies for the lack of photos as I have been pretty busy prior to this trip and hence I was pretty tired even before boarding the flight.
My flight was operated on a Singapore Airlines 9V-SKQ which is only about 4 years old (first flight was made only in early 2012).
