Now, for the second part of the trip – the flight back from Melbourne. SQ 217 let her try a day time flight with the full service while SQ 218 allows her to try out the sleeping overnight in the Suites.
Total miles burnt was 160,000 miles per person for return (pre-January devaluation).

As mentioned in my SQ 619 post, one of the less known perk of arriving in Suites / First Class is the ability to use the First Class Lounge / The Private Room on arrival as the arrivals lounge (regardless of onward connection). It is a good opportunity to use the lounge for some food and to refresh oneself before heading into the town (for those visiting Singapore).
