TTOTY would like to welcome BD, our new contributor to the blog. BD is currently based in Europe and he travels extensively due to the nature of his work. Through his many travels, he had tried many different airlines (across all classes). He has decided to share his experience with us through his reviews on this site. He shall start off with his first review here. What better way to start if not to review one of the best airlines in the world, Qatar Airways. The first post will be on Qatar Airways Premium Lounge in Charles De Gaulle (CDG) Airport, Paris.
In CDG, Qatar operates its own lounge. Once you get past immigration, take the lift to level 11 and turn right. You will be greeted by the lounge entrance. At the foyer, you will see the main attraction (a calming water fountain) surrounded by luxurious leather-clad seats and settees.
As with many airline operated lounge, the Premium Lounge has a shower facility with amenities provided by Rituals. The shower has a nice rain shower that is equipped with 4 massage heads.
Food spread in the lounge is aplenty! You have both buffet selection as well as ala carte options. Here are some pictures of the food and the menu:
The lounge has a nice outdoor terrace with a good view of the tarmac. This is an excellent spot for plane spotters! Being a European hub, one can see many different planes (and airlines) flying in and out of CDG.
For travelers with kids, there is also a separate family room within the lounge for some family time while waiting to fly
Now, for the most important part of the trip.. the flight itself!
