It has been almost 2 months since I was discharged from my quarantine and in this period, we have seen the case counter going up from 29 (on 6 Feb 2020) to now more than 3200! That is a staggering 100-fold jump in just slightly over 2 months! A lot of things have happened too in these 2 months – we went from a life with minimal disruption and mask being only for the sick to a significant movement restriction and mask being compulsory.
While most are staying at home as part of the fight against Covid-19, there are still those who are still out and about doing what they can as part of the essential workers to keep things going (including myself being a healthcare worker).
Many businesses have been badly affected by the pandemic as the world is staring at potentially the worst recession in modern times. Yet, most are still fighting on and showing solidarity with the healthcare workers in their battle against Covid-19. Hence, I would like to thank JeweLuxe for their kind support for healthcare workers with this nice gesture.
A special shout out to my classmate, Dr. Jade Kua with the arrangements despite being a very busy doctor and a working mom herself!
Stay home for us, and we shall stay out for you!
P.S – I miss flying, but Covid-19 has indeed change how traveling will be like in the future. Only time will tell if its for good or for bad – but for now, back to the fight!
