It has been a while since I last used my Priority Pass card and hence the best time to use it is when I fly Economy. Priority Pass has quite an extensive lounge list one can go in Suvarnabhumi Airport (although most of it is Miracle First and Business Class Lounge). As I was short on time, I just chose the lounge nearest to my departure point in Concourse E which is the Oman Air Business Class Lounge.
Avios has very good value for short haul flights (especially for Club Europe) where single way seat cost just 7500 Avios and up. I paid about 15000 Avios at SGD $96 for 2 person. No doubt Club Europe is nothing spectacular, one still get Priority Check in and Security Screening (which is helpful), Lounge Access in Terminal 5 Galleries Lounge and of course priority boarding. So how did the flight go?

I decided to put both flights into one review since these are short haul flights. 2017 had been pretty hectic on many fronts and I decided that I needed a short getaway. I initially redeemed a pair of return tickets to DPS for 70k miles but unfortunately the Mount Agung situation forced me to make some adjustments. I topped up 10k miles to change my tickets to Hanoi instead (as I have not been to Hanoi before). About one week later, Singapore Airlines came up with their getaway promotion where 30% discount on redemption was given on selected destinations. Guess what, Hanoi was one of them! I still had to play around with my booking to enjoy this 30%. I converted more miles from my DBS account and did 2 separate one way redemptions. I was confirmed on SQ 175 but waitlisted on SQ 176 (while holding on to my original booking). 2 weeks before my flight, my waitlist cleared and I duly cancelled my original booking and got my 80k miles back within 4 days (with penalty of USD 30 per person for the cancellation). This is certainly worth the 24k miles savings!

Plaza Premium First lounge in KLIA Satellite (not to be confused with Plaza Premium Lounge) is a brand new lounge in KLIA that has been contracted by Qatar Airways to serve as their Business Class lounge. This lounge also serves as the lounge for Etihad and Turkish Airlines too. It is located near Starbucks.

There are 3 or 4 lounges located in the domestic terminal of Cape Town. The terminal itself is a shared terminal with international departures but passengers are segregated at security after check in.
The lounge is located airside on the 4th floor, and hence requires the use of an elevator to access. The route is well signaged but be sure to enter the right lounge as there are a few lounges next to it. The lounge used by Star Alliance premier passengers is next door.
After a 24 hours flight on the majestic A380 in the venerable Suites class, it is back to reality for my next segment. Most of the short haul flights to Canada from New York originates from LGA. As I am connecting in JFK, I am down to 2 choices: Delta vs American. I opted for Delta mainly for the ease of connection (both Delta and Singapore Airlines operate out of Terminal 4).
As Malaysia Airlines no longer maintains a Golden Lounge in Changi Airport, the lounge service has been contracted to SATS premium lounge. As Malaysia Airlines is now part of the One World Alliance, I would recommend one to hop over to Terminal 1 to try out either Qantas Business Lounge or British Airways Executive Lounge (both are just next to each other). One does not need to be a tiered member to access the lounge (something which Garuda quoted to stop me from using GA lounge in DPS while flying on KLM J).
Review of Sumaq Lounge in Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima by CHC
This is one of two Priority Pass lounges available for international travellers at the Jorge Chavez Lima International Airport. This is a very busy and overcrowded airport and hence, travellers will appreciate these lounges as the airside terminal is crowded and seats are limited. Located airside on the 2nd floor just before the Britts souvenir shop, where I actually went to first to spend my remaining Peruvian soles. This is the nearer of the two Priority Pass lounge, with the slightly further one called VIP lounge.
