After my experience with the Air China online check in, I decided to forgo it for my return leg and just do the check in in Tianhe airport instead.
This would be the highlight of the 4 flights with this flight being operated by the homegrown Comac C919. The original flight was initially meant to be an A330 which was subsequently swapped to a 737 Max 8 and finally Comac C919. Being the challenger to the established Boeing 737 series and Airbus A320 series, how would this plane fare?
I was on the verge of giving up on writing, but I have decided to resume this after almost 2 years of hiatus. Travel will no longer be the same ever, first with my salt restriction from my kidney removal and now with Type 1 Diabetes because of the complications of my cancer treatment. As travel remains my passion and it keeps me going, I shall try it again.
I shall be reviewing my Air China experience, starting with CA 976.
After trying out the Air China First Class from Houston to Panama City, here comes Air China in Economy Class on both regional and short haul flight.
My recently concluded family trip to Fukuoka was on Air China via Beijing. At only $2.8k for 6 person, this is an excellent price as the price for Singapore Airlines for the same date came up to $9.2k! Top up another $400 and you can get yourself on Air China Business class which frankly is not a bad deal.

This is my second trip report after my first which was SQ802 from Singapore to Beijing. SQ807 will be my return trip to Singapore and for this leg, I will be traveling in Business Class instead of Suites. For my SQ802 trip, I was initially booked in First as Singapore Airlines did not release 3 Business Saver Award (as it was operating a 77W until August 2014 when it was changed to an A380). For my return trip however, I managed to snag 3 Business Saver Award tickets (saving me 12,750 miles if I had taken 1 suites + 2 business. This savings will go to my redemption in 2015).
