Review by CHC
Having last visited Bali quite a number of years ago, I decided to pay this island destination a visit with my family for a post PSLE (read: Major examination in Singapore that involves everyone) break. Bali has changed tremendously in the past 6-7 years but the major improvement must be that of the airport. Compared to the pre 2014 Ngurah Rai, the new airport is a major upgrade from the previous international terminal that now serves as the domestic terminal. If anyone had used the old Ngurah Rai airport, one would understand the amazement at the new terminal.

Just like Changi, KLM has no lounge in DPS. Lounge service is contracted to Premier Lounge. Compared to the old premier lounge, the new lounge seems to be smaller and a significant regression in terms of food choices.

Finally, that time of the year again! However, this was just a short family getaway to Bali. As mentioned in my previous post, I bought 6 (4A + 2C) tickets early this year for $3.2k (using DBS-Expedia promo) and subsequently I found out that KLM was having an offer. Thankfully, I managed to cancel my old tickets at no cost and rebooked the same tickets at $2.2k (a massive $1k savings). So how does KLM’s World Business Class fare?

My family and I will be doing a short trip to Bali in June, on KLM.
KLM to Bali is a 5th freedom flight from AMS; hence it is actually a AMS-SIN-DPS and DPS-SIN-AMS flight. It is a daily flight:
KL835 – departs Singapore at 1650 and arrives Denpasar at 1925
KL836 – departs Denpasar at 2040 and arrives Singapore at 2320
