My transport picked me up at 615am and with a light traffic, I arrived at Heathrow by 7am. Check in was fast with a dedicated First Class counter and the security check using the Star Alliance Gold Track took me no more than 20 minutes.

The amount of time it took me to get to the lounge was probably more than the time I waited for my security clearance. The walk to the lounge (which is near the gate) involves a lot of walking and travelator/escalator.

Silverkris Lounge
London is one of the few stations that Singapore Airlines still maintains a Silverkris Lounge (with a separate Business Class and First Class lounge).

Both the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and Silverkris Lounge are located opposite each other (read – long walk!). Once entering the Silverkris lounge, you will be greeted by the lounge dragon who will scan your boarding pass. The Business Class lounge is located on the right while the left will be the First Class lounge.

The lounge was empty and I was alone until 3 other persons came in. The lounge was not spacious but bright with a very good view of the tarmac. They have a small buffet section with a cook to order menu.

Besides the dining area and lounge area, they have privacy pods for those who need to get their work done.
For those craving local Singapore fares, there is laksa and nasi lemak.

SQ 305
SQ 305 has one of the worst timings for those on holiday but is the best going into Singapore and going straight to work as it arrives in Changi airport at 6am.

Boarding was straightforward and both First Class and Business Class passengers will board from door 1L.
I was the only passenger on board but I had 2 other tech crew flying with me back to Singapore.
I had written about the cabin before for my SQ 26 VTL flight back in November 2021. For more on the 2013 First Class cabin, do refer to this post

As for the amenities, Singapore Airlines provide the same La Lique kit and pajamas as for my SQ 322.
Here are some pictures before and during the take off from Heathrow:

Breakfast and Supper were served on this flight. While I did BTC on my SQ322, I opted for in-flight menu (pre-booked on Singapore Airlines website) on SQ 305.
I had the Nasi Lemak for breakfast and Beef for supper.
Nasi Lemak was ok but the omelet was salty. One of the recommendation for those taking morning flight would be the Bircher Muesli.

The beef served for supper was good – tender just nice to my liking. The soup was also good, not as salty as I expected.

The beverage selection is the same as what I had on SQ 322.

Arrival
Silverkris lounge is now available to be used as an arrival lounge again (for those on First Class and PPS Solitaire member). You will have access not only to the First Class Lounge but also The Private Room (only for passengers flying First Class/Suites).

This would also be a good time to utilize the slumber room for a short nap before going to the city (for those visiting Singapore).

Once again, a shout out to the crew of SQ 305 on 13 February 2023:
IFM Douglas Kwek
LSS Esther Chia
LS Mahadi
With a special mention to CSS Kelly Li who was in charge of Business Class but came over to greet me and was more than happy to give me a recommendation for wine pairing.
This concludes my 48 hour staycation in London review.
